JOTTING and DIAGRAMS
7pm WEDS Oct 30 -or- 2pm SAT Nov 2
Service Description
"Journaling" can include many kinds of jottings, diagrams, lists, maps, fill-in-the-blank, and sketches. You don't have to "write prose" to experience your brain on ink - so experiment with some new approaches! These can complement or jump-start your usual writing, or can be a whole new way for you to journal when more familiar methods haven't been that useful or friendly. Creativity and problem-solving often come easier when you try out a variety of modes and tricks. These can help you warm up, gather your thoughts and feelings, quickly cover lots of ground, or take a new perspective. If your Inner Critic scolds you like a cranky schoolteacher, you owe it to yourself to give this a try! No experience required, and you can leave with new energy for your personal writing. Just bring yourself, and a pen that can write quickly and that doesn't smear. Suitable for complete beginners as well as for experienced journalers. People of any age are welcome - kids who can sit to write (or take breaks quietly) have enjoyed this workshop.
